This article, sent to me, is about what most of us do not want to recognize or acknowledge. Perhaps we need to look more closely...

Their loyalties are hard to shake, their allegiance to their leaders is fanatical, and what they usually call their spiritual integrity cannot be violated by duress. It is not efficient to attack a nation in such a frame of mind. It is the basic purpose of [mind-control] to reduce that state of mind to a point where it can be ordered and enslaved. Thus, the first target is Man, himself. He must be degraded from a spiritual being to an animalistic reaction pattystem of values is then drilled into the people. Any person who is not brought up or taught to dedicate personal rights and possessions to [the system], will end up with all types of forces brought into their lives, such as insecurity, worry, anger, envy, jealousy and tension. If people are allowed free will, they often will reject the life style programmed into them, which has often been layered into their minds over time to insure that moral weaknesses exist.
It may be shocking to realize that people are specifically programmed to resist Life's grace and love, and to have, instead, something, or some group to direct hate towards. This is deliberate and not is left to chance. It is accomplished by utilizing a number of things in the person's life.
A major area that is tampered with is the self-image a person has of themselves. This self-image is what we think of ourselves, and it is geared on a spiritual level. A person who is consistently belittled and compared to others (at school, at work, TV commercials and 'entertainment' programs that are broadcast daily making a person look and/or feel inadequate, etc.) begins to lose their self-perceived self-image.
When people are not allowed to accept themselves as they normally would 'see' and feel about themselves, they end up resisting the goodness that Life has to offer. Another repercussion of this constant bombardment is that they cannot accept the goodness in others, as well.
To constantly have negative and positive scenarios thrown into people's minds, which are diametrically opposed to each other’s qualities, only insures that if they would discover each of the influence in their minds, that they would reject wanting to learn about one or the other part, and would go into denial of whichever part’s existence they are rejecting. This is how the programming and mind-control is being linked into a belief system.
Thoughts of wholesomeness, health, love and compassion have slowly been replaced with thoughts of violence, unworthiness, hate, insecurity through the bombardment of negative and often traumatic news and images that people are presented with on a daily basis.
Rejection is also a common tool used by people everywhere in the world in behavioral environments.. Rejection is used by people to protect themselves, however, it creates a sine wave of hills and valleys. When people feel rejected, they will either try to perform to meet up to expectations, or they will retaliate against being rejected. Both behaviors are extremes.
Retaliation and rejection are both tools of bondage commonly used by a controlling entity. A controlling entity will deliberately use these tools to get a person to feel either rejected or angry. If a person (or nation) latches onto either side of the sine wave, they will set in motion a dynamic where they will end up with the other side of the curve. The reason for this is because the human mind has an innate desire to balance things out. If we feel rejection, then we may retaliate, or we may try extra hard to perform. A BONDAGE LOOP is thus set up.
Thoughts like this are being programmed into us, and often unbeknownst to us, on a daily basis: “I’m safe if I stay with the programming.” This is the same thought that society overall is taught via fear. "If I stay with the crowd, if I stay with the system, then I will OK- I will be safe." This is why peer pressure, which appears safe, can lead many people into alienation behavior, alcohol abuse, drugs, and even death.
In addition, we have become so dependent on other outside sources for our own survival that we have a deep fear that is often not consciously acknowledged. We have to depend on other outside sources for our education, our food and often even our water supply, as well as how we utilize our transportation (buy gas, etc.), or are able to clothe ourselves, and right on down the list, including the toilet paper we purchase. All this fear of self-preservation (whether individual or societal) by remaining in the programming (or unconsciously accepting what is presented to us on a daily basis) will be transferred to loyalty to the ones doing the controlling. It is exactly where these controllers want us to be. Entire nations become totally dependent on them for everything. That is the plan. In that way, we become- or have become, as the case may be- subservient to them. Anytime people reject truth for safety and peace, because of our fear for self-preservation, we accept a lie, and eventually we come to believe the lie as truth.
Remember the old adage, 'the truth shall set you free'? All these manipulations and lies lead to bondage. They create strongholds that are nearly impossible to break away from.. If truth sets you free, then slavery would mean, by definition, "not to have truth."
An important tool used in mind-control programming is the creation and use of images. Think about worship- it is image oriented. We have a natural bent to want to see what we think is important to us. This is the power of images. The eyes, and what they behold is a primal and foremost important tool used in programming and accepting belief. What you see is integrated into the mind easily and accepted as reality. Thus, if you are subjected to violence on an everyday level, you will come to think that it is a common part of living. You will ultimately believe it is far more common than it actually is. It de-sensitizes your reaction to it- it becomes common fare/expected, and one no longer is repulsed by it. The person may even come to enjoy it- watching 'action' films by preference to watching something more loving. Because images are so prominently used today, a balanced outlook and/or discussion of the spiritual ramifications of images (& their creation) is a rare subject.
Something to remember is that duplicity- the use of mirror or imitation images- in controlling people has been around a very long time. The elite were taught, by Machiavelli, for example, how to rule through duplicity--that is, to rule using imitation images."

Maybe we need to put some energy into this!
Since our reps are more interested in re-election than doing what is right for our Nation by upholding our Constitution, maybe we need to start recalling all those who have voted yes on the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012. Voting yes to this was not only unconstitutional, it has removed habeas corpus, thus given the military power to arrest anyone, indefinitely detain them without proof, real cause or recourse. That includes you!

Take Action!!
It is definitely time to take action!
First of all, there was only ONE man who stood up and opposed the this. For Rhode Island.
According to WorldNetDaily:"When Congress adopted and Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, alarms were raised over the possibility that it would allow the indefinite and rights-free detention of those who are called "belligerents," even if they are American citizens. While the argument over those provisions rages, one lawmaker in has jumped into action to protect the danger he sees for residents of his state". This can now be done without ANY PROOF.
Where are all the other Senators and Representatives on this? Why are they NOT protecting the rights of Americans and UPHOLDING our Constitutional rights??
Secondly, SOPA and PIPA are definite threats to our internet as we know it. These propsed actions will take away our freedom to communicate freely, and invader our privacy even more than what is already happening. The sad thing is that those who are for these actions ALREADY have the means available to protect their copyright material, so this kind of action is totally UNNECESSARY. There are thousands who are opposing this, and many will protesting by black-out- which will be happening very soon!
Third, we have an officer who thinks it is OK to take away people's weapons- even though that person had the proper permits- to protect themselves against their own gun??? What is up with that? You know if one place manages to pull this stunt off, others will follow suit. Our 2nd Amendment was put into place to protect us from these very types of incidents- tyrannical government!

Infusing Energy

Who is Rick Santorum?
In this on-going series, we will now ask 'who is Rick Santorum?'
So, Who is Rick Santorum?
According to an article written by Erick Erickson ,”we’re going to hear a lot about Universal Health Services (“UHS”). Santorum’s involvement in UHS is one of the significant bits of his private sector experience.
After his 18 point loss in 2006, UHS appointed Rick Santorum to its Board of Directors.
On May 16, 2007, Santorum acquired 10,000 options to purchase Class B common stock. On November 21, 2009, he received another option for 5,000. In 2010, it was options for 15,000 shares and another 15,000 as recently as January 21, 2011, as Santorum begin to entertain thoughts of running for President.
On June 15, 2011, Santorum resigned from the board of UHS.
Here’s why the media will be interested.
On March 2, 2010, nearly three years after Santorum was appointed to the UHS board of directors, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a complaint against UHS for billing Medicaid for “inpatient psychiatric care that was not provided.” The company received Medicaid funds to provide psychiatric counseling and treatment to boys ages 11 to 17.
According to the Department of Justice, UHS “[took] advantage of troubled children in order to feed their own desire for wealth.”
On July 29, 2010, an employee of the same Virginia adolescent psychiatric facility that was sued by DOJ filed suit against UHS for reprisal against her due to her “investigation of, reporting of, opposition to and refusal to participate in, her employer?s blatant and systemic criminal fraud against Medicaid engaged in by defendants[.]” See Barbara Jones v. Universal Health Services, Inc.,
According to Barbara Jones, the whistleblower who brought suit against UHS, local company management encouraged employees to conduct “drive by therapy sessions” as they passed patients in the hallway and then record the brief interactions as a thirty minute individual therapy sessions to be billed to Medicaid. Jones also testified in her court filings that she was ordered by the local CEO to fabricate a Medicaid billing form and was told, after she refused to do so, that she would not be
paid until the form was fabricated.
UHS tried to have the complaint dismissed not because of the veracity of the changes, but because it claimed Barbara Jones wasn’t an employee of UHS and therefore was not protected under a whistle blower statute.
Santorum possibly did not know about any of this, but in 2007 the federal government filed a lawsuit against UHS for Medicaid fraud going back all the way to 2004 — or well before Santorum was on the board. It’s kind of hard to claim complete ignorance of federal charges against a company on whose board he sat for over four years”.

“Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum was blacklisted in 2006 by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a non-profit legal watchdog group dedicated to holding public officials accountable for their actions.
Illegal tax-paid school for his children
Reasons for the blacklisting included evidence of Santorum enrolling his children in Pennsylvania State-paid online classes while the were actually registered in Virginia, a political slight-of-hand that cost Pennsylvania tax-payers over $70,000.
AccuWeather bill
Santorum received $2,000 from a private weather information service two days before introducing a bill that would bar the tax-paid National Weather Service from distributing its information directly to the public. Santorum’s bill would have the National Weather Service use tax money to collect weather data, like it does today, but then mandate that it route the information to various private weather information companies, which would then presumably sell the same information to the public.
To add insult to injury, Santorum accused the National Weather Service of poorly predicting Hurricane Katrina, using the disaster as fodder for his palm-greased weather bill.
US Tobacco bill
Santorum received $3,000 from U.S. Tobacco Corporation a day after he voted against an amendment to a bill that would allow the Food and Drug Administration to regulate the tobacco industry.
Beer companies
Santorum received $6,000 from the Miller Brewing Company six months after Santorum introduced a bill that would cut federal excise tax that large brewing companies have to pay on beer in half.
Puerto Rico
Santorum received $48,765 from donors in Puero Rico. $34,500 was from hospital executives, administrators, and healthcare industry workers. Months prior, Santorum introduced a Puerto Rico hospital bail-out bill to coincide with the reform package Congress enacted that same year.
In April of the same year, Santorum introduced the Puerto Rico Medicare Reimbursment Equality Act of 2005, and has since raked in $44,750 from Puerto Rico, $10,000 confirmed from healthcare executives and administrators.
Energy interests
Santorum received at least $16,400 for his campaign committee and at least $8,500 to his PAC “America’s Foundation” after crafting a provision in the National Energy Security Act of 2000 to federally subsidize construction of a $612-million coal-to-diesel plant in Pennsylvania.
The legal watch-dog group concluded their report of Santorum by stating,
Federal law prohibits public officials from directly or indirectly demanding, seeking, receiving, accepting, or agreeing to receive or accept anything of value in return for being influenced in the performance of an official act. It is well-settled that accepting a contribution to a political campaign can constitute a bribe if a quid pro quo can be demonstrated.
“Value conservative” indeed!”

Who is Mitt Romney?
In this on-going series of examining the potential Presidential candidates, several reports have been forwarded concerning Romney that I will share here:
"How many of you know that Romney's 20 year job at Bain Capital was as a Wall Street Hedge Fund Manager? All occupy issues aside (what ever they are?), Wall Street is not Capitalism. Its Banks. Socialist minded Investment Bankers. Isn't it bad enough that Wall Street accepted Obama as one of them - a Socialist - and financed his campaign? Do we really want a Wall Street Guy as President? ...... SAY "NO" TO ROMNEY"
"He looks Presidential. He talks Presidential. He has an inside track to the Wall Street Bankers who got all the Stimulus money.... He is a ringer for the same team that funded Obama. I bet he gets the Rep Nomination then throws the fight.... Oh here's one more... I heard Romney's Father was a Union Rep... another Socialist Group that funded Obama and Romney has inroads there too. I say he is on the same team as Obama and I don't want him."

"In 2002 Utah held the national record for bankruptcies-due to Mormonism's mandatory 10% tithing. Mormons really have no excuse to file for bankruptcy because they have a church as well as a state welfare system to help them with the basics for food and shelter. But their tithing laws say they must pay the church before ANYTHING else-including food, rent and medicine.
Romney was a resident of Massachusetts and was running for governor when he "mysteriously" decided to use his political power to help the far away state of Utah get the Olympics. Why Utah of all places? The country had plenty of problems elsewhere. Isn't is standard practice for a politician to avoid activities that could bring suspicion of bias upon themselves?
Romney did not have to care because the media was on his side spinning this to the public.
Then the media out there proceeded to spin this as a good thing-like Romney was doing charity work when in fact he was mixing religion and politics-the very thing he swore he would never do. His intent was not to help America, it was to bring in millions of dollars into bankrupt Salt Lake City and in doing so, increase tithing and hence win brownie points with his church.
Back when he was liberal, Romney supported the Brady Bill, assault weapons bans and Massachusetts' very strict gun control law. Now that he's running as a conservative Republican, Romney has claimed that the NRA endorsed him in previous campaigns. (Oops -- that was easily proven to be a lie. His Democratic opponent actually had a better NRA rating.)
He also claimed he was a "lifelong hunter", though he didn't own a gun, has never had a hunting license and had only joined the NRA in August 2006 -- as a "Lifetime Member" -- just about exactly the moment he started campaigning for President.
When pressed on that, his "lifelong hunting" turned out to be a total of two hunts -- one as a teenager, hunting rabbits with his cousin in Idaho, and one just about the time he started running for president, chasing fenced-in quail at a Republican fundraising event.
His explanation was even funnier -- "I'm not a BIG-GAME hunter. I've made that very clear," he said. "I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter. Small varmints, if you will. I began when I was 15 or so and I have hunted those kinds of varmints since then. More than two times."
Illegally Impersonating Police Officers
The most bizarre scandal of Romney's campaign involves Jay Garrity, Mitt's director of operations (basically, his right-hand man.) Garrity resigned from the campaign after several allegations that he claimed to be a policeman, and used that authority to intimidate people.
In one case, Garrity pulled over a New York Times reporter, ran his plates and ordered him to stop following the campaign caravan. In another, he allegedly called a plumbing company to complain about one of their employees, whose driving upset him, and identified himself as "Trooper Garrity of the Massachusetts State Police." Garrity denied that allegation, but he was cited by Boston police in 2004 for having police equipment -- including flashing lights -- in his Crown Victoria sedan without authorization. The phone call was recorded because an answering service actually fielded the call, which the person who called himself "Trooper Garrity" apparently didn't notice.
Despite his resignation, Garrity remains under investigation in two states for impersonation of police.
Well, it gets worse. According to three different anonymous sources, one who works for the Romney campaign, Garrity made up fake police badges -- bright silver plates with the seal of Massachusetts on them -- and gave them to several other staffers, who used them to order reporters and other people out of events, get past security guards, and avoid paying highway tolls. In fact, Garrity has been handing out badges since Romney was governor of Massachusetts.
So this was not just one staffer's personal fetish. Sources named at least two other Romney staffers who used the badges -- Mark Glanville and William Ritter. "They knew the badges were fake and probably illegal," the campaign source said. In fact, Garrity was Romney's right-hand man and rarely left his side. It's hard to believe that Mitt Romney himself did not notice the fact that Garrity was constantly flashing a police badge as they blew through security into various events. The Romney campaign has not commented on whether Mitt Romney knew about the badges.
Using fake badges is, of course, illegal.
Hired Illegal Immigrants
Romney makes a big issue of being tough on illegal immigrants. He has pushed for a wall on the Mexican border so hard that Bill O'Reilly offered to call it the "Mitt Romney Memorial Wall."
The only problem is, Romney has hired illegal immigrants to tend his gardens for over 10 years. Three illegal immigrants interviewed by the Boston Globe said they have worked on Romney's lawn for years, that he greets them with a "Buenos dias", and that his wife was friendly and often asks how they are. Two were interviewed back in Guatemala, where they have returned. They made $8 to $9 per hour working 11 hour days. "They wanted that house to look really nice," said one worker, now back in Copado, Guatemala. "It took a long time." The other, Rene Alvarez Rosales (now in Suchitepequez, Guatemala) said it cost him about $5,000 to have a smuggler take him across the border.
They all work for "Community Lawn Care with a Heart," a small company run by legal Colombian immigrant Ricardo Saenz. Asked about his workers' statements that they were illegal immigrants, Saenz said "What you've heard is not my problem. ... I don't need to tell them to show me documents. I know who they are, and they are legal." When Romney was asked about the workers, he said "Aw geez" and walked away. On one occasion, a (real) state trooper with the Romney security detail asked about the workers' immigration status. Saenz said they were legal but forgot their papers that day, and the matter was dropped.
Flat-Out Liar
In this campaign, Romney has simply lied a number of times while trying to reinvent himself. For example:
-- "I have a gun of my own."
(Not true. He was talking about a gun one of his grown sons own.)
-- "I've been a hunter pretty much my entire life."
(He hunted once at 15, and a second time in his late 50s.)
-- "I told you what my position was, and what I, what I did as governor; the fact that I received the endorsement of the NRA."
(No - and his Democratic opponent actually had a higher NRA rating)
-- "I saw my father march with Martin Luther King."
(No, they never marched together. They were both in Michigan at the same time once, but Mitt was in France on his mission.)
-- "My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit."
(even more false...)
This last lie was the funnest because of all the waffling that Romney did trying to explain it. After a Boston newspaper showed that they couldn't have marched together, Mitt's spokesman said that "George W. Romney and Martin Luther King Jr. marched together in June, 1963 -- although possibly not on the same day or in the same city." And Mitt then explained "I've tried to be as accurate as I can be. If you look at the literature or look at the dictionary, the term 'saw' includes being aware of — in the sense I've described. I'm an English literature major as well. When we say I saw the Patriots win the World Series, it doesn't necessarily mean you were there -- excuse me, the Super Bowl. I saw my dad become president of American Motors. Did that mean you were there for the ceremony? No, it’s a figure of speech."
Draft Dodger and Chickenhawk
Mitt Romney, incredibly, was able to avoid serving in Vietnam because he was on his Mormon mission, driving around the French countryside. (The Mormon church defined missions -- which all good young Mormon men go on -- as a form of priesthood.) In fact, not one of Romney's five sons has served in the military either, despite Mitt arguing for U.S. military involvement in Iraq and elsewhere.
Even more outrageously, when he was asked to justify this hypocrisy, Romney claimed that his sons were serving the country by driving Winnebagos around Iowa and campaigning for him.

(Reuters) - Mitt Romney spent nearly $100,000 in state funds to replace computers in his office at the end of his term as governor of Massachusetts in 2007 as part of an unprecedented effort to keep his records secret, Reuters has learned.
The move during the final weeks of Romney's administration was legal but unusual for a departing governor, Massachusetts officials say.
The effort to purge the records was made a few months before Romney launched an unsuccessful campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. He is again competing for the party's nomination, this time to challenge Barack Obama for the presidency in 2012.
Five weeks before the first contests in Iowa, Romney has seen his position as frontrunner among Republican presidential candidates whittled away in the polls as rival Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, has gained ground.
When Romney left the governorship of Massachusetts, 11 of his aides bought the hard drives of their state-issued computers to keep for themselves. Also before he left office, the governor's staff had emails and other electronic communications by Romney's administration wiped from state servers, state officials say.
Those actions erased much of the internal documentation of Romney's four-year tenure as governor, which ended in January 2007. Precisely what information was erased is unclear.
Republican and Democratic opponents of Romney say the scrubbing of emails - and a claim by Romney that paper records of his governorship are not subject to public disclosure - hinder efforts to assess his performance as a politician and elected official.
As Massachusetts governor, Romney worked with a Democrat-led state house to close a budget shortfall and signed a healthcare overhaul that required nearly all state residents to buy insurance or face penalties.
Massachusetts' healthcare law became a model for Obama's nationwide healthcare program, enacted into law in 2010. As a presidential candidate, however, Romney has criticized Obama's plan as an overreach by the federal government.
Massachusetts officials say they have no basis to believe that Romney's staff violated any state laws or policies in removing his administration's records.
They acknowledge, however, that state law on maintaining and disclosing official records is vague and has not been updated to deal with issues related to digital records and other modern technology.
BUYING UP HARD DRIVES
Romney's spokesmen emphasize that he followed the law and precedent in deleting the emails, installing new computers in the governor's office and buying up hard drives.
However, Theresa Dolan, former director of administration for the governor's office, told Reuters that Romney's efforts to control or wipe out records from his governorship were unprecedented.
Dolan said that in her 23 years as an aide to successive governors "no one had ever inquired about, or expressed the desire" to purchase their computer hard drives before Romney's tenure.
The cleanup of records by Romney's staff before his term ended included spending $205,000 for a three-year lease on new computers for the governor's office, according to official documents and state officials.
In signing the lease, Romney aides broke an earlier three-year lease that provided the same number of computers for about half the cost - $108,000. Lease documents obtained by Reuters under the state's freedom of information law indicate that the broken lease still had 18 months to run.
As a result of the change in leases, the cost to the state for computers in the governor's office was an additional $97,000.
Andrea Saul, a spokeswoman for Romney's presidential campaign, referred questions on the computer leasing deal and records removal to state officials.
Last week, Saul claimed that Deval Patrick, the present Massachusetts governor and a Democrat, was encouraging reports about Romney's records to cast the former governor as secretive. Patrick's office has not responded to that allegation.
STATE REVIEWING RECORDS LAW
The removal of digital records by Romney's staff, first reported by the Boston Globe, has sparked a wave of requests for state officials to release paper records from Romney's governorship that remain in the state's archives.
Massachusetts officials are now reviewing state law to determine whether the public should have access to those records.
The issue is clouded by a 1997 state court ruling that could be interpreted to mean that records of the Massachusetts governor are not subject to disclosure. Romney has asserted that his records are exempt from disclosure.
State officials and a longtime Romney adviser have acknowledged that before leaving office, Romney asked state archives officials for permission to destroy certain paper records. It is unclear whether his office notified anyone from the state beforther the public should have access to those records.
The issue is clouded by a 1997 state court ruling that could be interpreted to mean that records of the Massachusetts governor are not subject to disclosure. Romney has asserted that his records are exempt from disclosure.
State officials and a longtime Romney adviser have acknowledged that before leaving office, Romney asked state archives officials for permission to destroy certain paper records. It is unclear whether his office notified anyone from the state before destroying electronic records.
Officials have said the details of Romney's request to remove paper records, such as what specific documents he wanted to destroy, could be made public only in response to a request under the state's freedom of information law. Reuters has filed such a request.

Mormons really have no excuse to file for bankruptcy because they have a church as well as a state welfare system to help them with the basics for food and shelter. Romney was a resident of Massachusetts and was running for governor when he "mysteriously" decided to use his political power to help the far away state of Utah get the Olympics. Why Utah of all places? The country had plenty of problems elsewhere. Isn't is standard practice for a politician to avoid activities that could bring suspicion of bias upon themselves?
Romney did not have to care because the media was on his side spinning this to the public.
Then the media out there proceeded to spin this as a good thing-like Romney was doing charity work when in fact he was mixing religion and politics-the very thing he swore he would never do. His intent was not to help America, it was to bring in millions of dollars into bankrupt Salt Lake City and in doing so, increase tithing and hence win brownie points with his church.
Back when he was liberal, Romney supported the Brady Bill, assault weapons bans and Massachusetts' very strict gun control law. Now that he's running as a conservative Republican, Romney has claimed that the NRA endorsed him in previous campaigns. (Oops -- that was easily proven to be a lie. His Democratic opponent actually had a better NRA rating.)
He also claimed he was a "lifelong hunter", though he didn't own a gun, has never had a hunting license and had only joined the NRA in August 2006 -- as a "Lifetime Member" -- just about exactly the moment he started campaigning for President.
When pressed on that, his "lifelong hunting" turned out to be a total of two hunts -- one as a teenager, hunting rabbits with his cousin in Idaho, and one just about the time he started running for president, chasing fenced-in quail at a Republican fundraising event.
His explanation was even funnier -- "I'm not a BIG-GAME hunter. I've made that very clear," he said. "I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter. Small varmints, if you will. I began when I was 15 or so and I have hunted those kinds of varmints since then. More than two times."

Can we trust Rick Perry?

As a U.S. Air Force Officer, Rick Perry took an oath to protect the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. This oath was disregarded when he supported the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC), an obvious Globalist agenda item. Governor Perry favors Public Private Partnership (PPP) financial agreements in which taxpayers assume liability for public projects, while the private investors reap the profits.
This type agreement, incidentally, is going on in Georgia with the Southern Company, controller of Georgia Power Company, who are building a new Nuclear Plant. The citizens are paying for it with higher electric bills right now. Only the investors profit from it; not the people. Back during the 1950', the cry was all about CHEAP Nuclear power. My electric bill during the 2011 heat wave was $300.00 a month and I do not waste power.
Perry has promoted the TCC, overseeing the deal in which a foreign company (Cintra of Spain) promised to develop taxpayer-funded roads in Texas in return for toll revenue profits. Perry was strongly criticized for not making public the terms of the contract with Cintra. Do we need a man like this running America?
An unpopular feature of the TCC was the unprecedented use of eminent domain for seizing hundreds of thousands of acres of private property for the construction of the Trans Texas Corridor. But when Texans balked at the project, the Governor and legislature pushed back. Perry's commitment to private enterprise did not include defending the property rights of landowners who got in the way of his TCC.
Even Texas Republican Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison commented during 2009: Texans can't trust Rick Perry when it comes to protecting their land from the government, ceasing to lease our highways to foreign companies, or ending the Trans Texas Corridor."
Eminent domain was being used to transfer private property in the corridor's path ---not to the state, but to the private entity Cintra.
During 2007, a property rights bill HB2006 passed by the legislature would have ended the practice, protected landowners and severely curtailed profit transfers to the Spanish Company. It was ready for Perry's signature, but he jetted to a 2007 Bilderburg meeting in Istanbul, Turkey instead. He returned in time to VETO the bill with no time left for the legislative override.
Don't forget as Perry campaigns against obamacare, it was he in Hitler-like manner, who attempted to have Texas intrude into the private lives of families and teenage girls during 2007 by issuing an "EXECUTIVE ORDER", requiring every girl entering 6th grade to be vaccinated against a sexually transmitted virus (human papillomavirus, or HPV)which causes cervical cancer. Vehement protests from Texans caused the legislature to override Perry's decision.
Two years later, Perry declared in 2009,"I believe the federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens and interference in the affairs of our state".........He's sounding like flip-flopper Romney now on issues.
Perry gave illegal immigrants in-state tuition. How much actual credit can he take for the Texas economy? Half the state's growth in the last two years was in education, health care and government. Things like geology and the price of oil are the main economic factors.
Do we need two Hollywood pretty boys like Perry or Romney as President ? You decide".
